백남순 북 외무상, 몽골 대통령 접견 (영문)

President of Mongolia, N. Enkhbayar received the Foreign Minister of North Korea, Pek Nam-sun,
who arrived in Mongolia on August 8 for an official visit .

At the meeting, Mr. Nam-sun delivered a greeting from the head of North Korea to President
Bagabandi and discussed current conditions in North Korea. Minister Nam-sun noted that
agreements and related documents, which will be signed during his visit, are important in
determining further relations and cooperation between Mongolia and North Korea.
Minister Nam-sun suggested expanding cooperations between the two countries in the economic
sector, corporate infrastructure and agricultural fields. A meeting of the Economic, Scientific and
Technical Intergovernmental Commission will also be organised in the near future.
President Bagabandi underlined that Mongolia and North Korea need to establish an environment
of favorable cooperation on the basis of its traditional relations. Mr. Bagabandi noted that there are
more chances to expand cooperation between the two countries in trade, economic, construction,
agricultural, education and cultural fields.
